Elementary teachers have little time in their day to insert another initiative. Everyday STEM Professional Development Units guide teachers in connecting STEM concepts within their everyday lessons and activities.
Unit 1 is the starting point for the Everyday STEM professional development program. This unit provides detailed professional development plans, including tools to help students understand how technology affects their daily lives. Educators come away from this workshop understanding the differences between technology and science, the vital part that technology and engineering play in our lives, and that STEM fits naturally into all academic areas. This unit was developed specifically by teachers to help educators understand that STEM is more than just science and mathematics.
This unit contains materials for hosting a 90-minute local workshop that is perfect for both new and seasoned teachers who want to integrate STEM in their classrooms.
