The Plastic Strip Heater is a commercial-type strip heater designed to heat sheets of acrylic plastic until they become soft and pliable for shaping to the form desired. It is essentially used for straight-line bends or folds and is capable of heating sheet material up to 1/2" thick and 21" wide. Heating time varies from 30 seconds to four minutes, depending on the material’s thickness. Mark-off on the sheet is prevented because the material does not come in contact with the heating elements and the platen remains cool.
