Step 1—Unbox and Charge: Place all six Blue-Bots on the rechargeable docking station. Plug the station into a standard outlet and charge overnight before your first session.

Step 2—Choose Your Activity Surface: Pair Blue-Bot with any coding mat, maze, or flat surface. If you don't have mats yet, students can code on the floor or a table—Blue-Bot works on any smooth, flat surface.

Step 3—Introduce the Buttons: Walk students through the seven onboard buttons—forward, back, left turn, right turn, pause, go, and clear. Start with short 2–3 step programs and build from there.

Step 4—Code and Explore: Students enter a sequence of commands, press GO, and watch Blue-Bot execute their program. They observe the result, identify errors, and debug their code—learning computational thinking through hands-on trial and refinement.

Step 5—Go Wireless: When ready, connect Blue-Bots to tablets via Bluetooth and introduce the free Blue-Bot app for drag-and-drop programming with repeat loops and longer sequences.

What's the difference between the Class Pack and the Getting Started Package?

The Class Pack includes six Blue-Bots and a rechargeable docking station. The Getting Started Package includes the same six robots and docking station plus a Changeable Maze and Treasure Island mat. Choose the Class Pack if you already have mats or want to pick your own accessories.

How many students can this pack support?

The Class Pack serves up to twenty-four students when working in groups of four per robot. With six Blue-Bots running at once, every student gets meaningful hands-on coding time.

Does this come with mats or mazes?

No. The Class Pack includes the robots and docking station only. Coding mats, the Changeable Maze, and the Treasure Island mat are available separately—giving you the flexibility to build the program that fits your needs and budget.

How does the docking station work?

The rechargeable docking station holds and charges all six Blue-Bots at once. Plug the station into a standard outlet, place the robots on the charging contacts, and they are ready to go. No individual USB cables needed.

Is there curriculum available?

Yes. Pitsco offers three Blue-Bot Curriculum volumes (sold separately), each with 20 cross-curricular 5E Model lessons aligned to CSTA, ISTE, and NGSS standards. That is 60 lessons total—more than enough for a full year of coding instruction.

Can I add more Blue-Bots or accessories later?

Absolutely! Individual Blue-Bot robots, additional coding mats, the Changeable Maze, and the Treasure Island mat are all available separately. You can expand your program at any time.
