Step 1—Charge and Power On: Connect Blue-Bot to any USB port using the included cable. A full charge takes about four hours and provides several sessions of use. Press the power button on the underside to turn Blue-Bot on.

Step 2—Program with Buttons: Use the seven onboard buttons (forward, back, left turn, right turn, pause, go, and clear) to enter a sequence of commands. Blue-Bot stores up to 200 steps, so students can build increasingly complex programs as they progress.

Step 3—Press Go and Watch: Hit the GO button and watch Blue-Bot execute the program step by step, moving 15 cm per forward/back command and turning 90 degrees per turn command. Students observe, debug, and refine their sequences.

Step 4—Level Up with Bluetooth: Connect Blue-Bot to a tablet using the free Blue-Bot app to unlock screen-based programming. Students drag and drop commands, build longer sequences, and explore repeat loops—all wirelessly.

Step 5—Add Mats and Challenges: Place Blue-Bot on cross-curricular coding mats (sold separately) to integrate literacy, math, and geography into every coding session. Add the Changeable Maze for spatial reasoning challenges.

Bee-Bot is designed for the youngest learners (ages 3–8) and uses onboard buttons only. Blue-Bot adds Bluetooth connectivity, a clear see-through shell, audio recording, and robot-to-robot detection—making it the natural next step for students ready for more advanced coding challenges.

Do I need a tablet to use Blue-Bot?

No. Blue-Bot works perfectly with just the onboard buttons—no tablet, computer, or app required. The Bluetooth app and TacTile Reader are optional enhancements that add screen-based and tactile programming modes when your students are ready.

How long does the battery last?

A full USB charge provides enough power for multiple classroom sessions. Exact runtime depends on usage, but most teachers report getting through a full day of rotations on a single charge. There are no batteries to replace—just plug in and recharge overnight.

Is there curriculum available for Blue-Bot?
