Frequently Asked Questions

How many students can this package support?

The R/C Getting Started Package includes six complete team sets, each designed for four students. That means up to twenty-four students build and drive simultaneously. If your class is larger, individual R/C Robotics Sets (41990) can be added.

What does the 35-hour curriculum cover?

The TETRIX MAX Engineering Mobile Robotics Curriculum Pack walks students through system overview and safety, frame construction and motor integration, wireless controller operation and precision driving, iterative design challenges using the Engineering Design Loop, and advanced builds with Expansion Set components.

Do students need programming experience?

No. This package focuses entirely on mechanical engineering and wireless control. Students build robots and drive them with gamepad controllers—no coding, no software setup. When your program is ready to add programming, PRIZM controllers can be added to these same robot frames.

How do I upgrade to programmable robots later?

The TETRIX MAX system is modular. Add PRIZM Robotics Controllers to your existing R/C frames to unlock autonomous programming and sensor integration. The Programmable GSP (43417) and Dual-Control GSP (43419) include PRIZM controllers from the start.

What makes TETRIX MAX different from plastic robotics kits?

TETRIX MAX uses aircraft-grade aluminum construction with 670+ precision-machined components per set. The TorqueNADO motors deliver professional-level power, and the metal frames withstand years of classroom use without breaking or wearing out.

What support does Pitsco provide?

Pitsco Education Advisors help with implementation planning, troubleshooting, and curriculum guidance throughout the school year. Online resources include video tutorials, downloadable builder's guides, R/C challenge activities, and quick-start guides for every component.
