Bee-Bot® World Bundle

Four Worlds. Endless Lessons.

The Bee-Bot World Bundle transforms coding practice into a cross-curricular adventure. Four richly illustrated floor mats and matching activity tins take students from the countryside to the seaside, exploring geography, community helpers, transportation, and coastal life—all through screen-free directional programming.
Countryside Exploration

Countryside Exploration

Students navigate farms, fields, and villages, identifying landmarks and building directional vocabulary as they program routes through a rural landscape.

People Who Help Us

People Who Help Us

Community helper characters across the mat prompt students to sequence visits to the fire station, hospital, school, and more—connecting coding to social studies.

Transport and Industry

Transport and Industry

Roads, railways, and factories create a rich industrial landscape where students plan multi-step routes and explore how goods move from place to place.

Seaside Adventures

Seaside Adventures

A coastal scene with beaches, boats, and lighthouses gives students a vibrant map for practicing longer sequences while learning about marine environments.

What Students Can Do

With four distinct themed worlds, students build coding confidence while exploring subjects they encounter every day—from the natural environment to the communities that support them.
  • Program multi-step routes across themed landscapes
  • Use directional language to describe paths and destinations
  • Sequence visits to community locations in logical order
  • Explore geography and map-reading through hands-on coding
  • Connect coding activities to science and social studies topics
  • Collaborate with partners to solve navigation challenges

Step 1—Unpack Your Worlds: Open all four activity tins and lay out the corresponding floor mats. Each mat features a richly illustrated theme—Countryside, People Who Help Us, Transport and Industry, and Seaside.

Step 2—Choose a Theme: Pick a mat that connects to your current unit. Studying community helpers? Start with People Who Help Us. Exploring environments? Try Countryside or Seaside.

Step 3—Set the Challenge: Use the activity tin cards to assign destinations or sequencing tasks. Cards prompt students to program Bee-Bot to visit specific locations on the mat.

Step 4—Program and Go: Students press Bee-Bot's directional buttons to create a sequence, then press Go to watch their robot navigate the map. Count steps, predict turns, and debug when Bee-Bot lands in the wrong spot.

Step 5—Extend the Learning: Rotate mats throughout the week or unit to give students practice across multiple themes. Combine with writing prompts, vocabulary work, or science observations to deepen cross-curricular connections.

Coding Meets the Real World

The Bee-Bot World Bundle turns programming practice into a window on the world. Instead of coding in the abstract, students navigate landscapes they recognize—farms, beaches, fire stations, and factories—giving every sequence a purpose and every route a story.

Industry Connections
The skills students build with these mats mirror the spatial reasoning and sequential planning used in logistics, urban planning, geographic information systems, and transportation engineering. Even at the PreK–2 level, students are practicing the foundational thinking that drives these careers.

STEM Breakdown
Science: Students observe and describe features of natural and built environments, compare coastal and rural landscapes, and identify living and nonliving things on each mat.

Technology: Every route is a program. Students create step-by-step sequences using Bee-Bot's directional buttons, building computational thinking skills without a screen.

Engineering: When a route fails, students debug—adjusting their sequence, testing again, and iterating until Bee-Bot reaches the correct destination. This is the engineering design process in miniature.

Math: Students count steps, estimate distances, practice 90-degree turns, and compare route lengths. Each mat provides a grid-based coordinate system for early spatial reasoning.
