At Pitsco, we know this has been a challenging time for educators. Between tightening budgets, shifting priorities, and the ever-growing demands of the classroom, every dollar and every minute matters. That’s why I’m reaching out to share an encouraging update made possible by the more stabilized global trade policies.
After carefully reviewing our product offerings and monitoring changes in global trade policies, we’ve made the decision to remove the 6% tariff surcharge that was previously applied to customer orders. This change is effective immediately and will no longer appear on invoices. As market conditions have begun to stabilize, it has allowed us to refine our product costing and remove the tariff surcharge.
We understand each purchase you make is critical to the learner outcomes that occur in your classrooms, and, to that point, we are continually reviewing our processes and vendor partnerships to limit potential price increases. This decision reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting educators not just with great products but with thoughtful policies that put your needs first. Why is Pitsco removing the tariff surcharge?
We’ve reevaluated our sourcing strategies, pricing practices, and product offerings in light of recent changes to global trade policies. As a result, we’re now able to eliminate the 6% tariff surcharge previously applied to orders.
Will this affect product quality or availability?
Not at all. Our commitment to quality and timely delivery remains unchanged. We’ve made strategic adjustments to our supply chain to ensure you continue receiving the same high-quality materials.
Will the surcharge appear on future invoices?
No. Effective immediately, the tariff surcharge will no longer be applied to future invoices. However, orders shipped before August 18, 2025, will continue to display the tariff fee that was charged at the time the order was placed.
Can I request a refund for previously charged tariff fees?
While we’re excited to remove the tariff surcharge moving forward, we’re unable to offer refunds for fees applied to past orders. These charges were confirmed at the time of purchase, based on the sourcing and trade conditions that existed then. The improvements that now allow us to eliminate the surcharge weren’t available at that time. We’re grateful for your continued partnership.
