Straw Rocket Refill Pack

A Pitsco Exclusive

For a fun and easy activity to illustrate oodles of scientific principles, look no further than our introductory straw rocket project. This refill pack can restock or add on to your Getting Started package to help teach projectile motion, center of gravity, initial velocity, introductory aerodynamics, and more. This activity is a great way to teach students the principles of rocketry before going on to engine- or hydrogen-powered rockets.

This pack includes enough tubes (Precision Straws), clay, and fin material for 30 students to make four rockets each, which enables them to experiment with different weights, straw lengths, and fin designs.

Looking for standards-based activities to accompany these materials? The Straw Rockets Teacher’s Guide is available for print here, or you can download a digital copy for free here.

In need of fun activities for elementary-aged students? Download the Straw Rocket Elementary STEM Activity Guide here.
