Why is Pitsco removing the tariff surcharge?
We’ve reevaluated our sourcing strategies, pricing practices, and product offerings in light of recent changes to global trade policies. As a result, we’re now able to eliminate the 6% tariff surcharge previously applied to orders.
Will this affect product quality or availability?
Not at all. Our commitment to quality and timely delivery remains unchanged. We’ve made strategic adjustments to our supply chain to ensure you continue receiving the same high-quality materials.
Will the surcharge appear on future invoices?
No. Effective immediately, the tariff surcharge will no longer be applied to future invoices. However, orders shipped before August 18, 2025,will continue todisplay the tariff fee that was charged at the time the order was placed.
Can I request a refund for previously charged tariff fees?
While we’re excited to remove the tariff surcharge moving forward, we’re unable to offer refunds for fees applied to past orders. These charges were confirmed at the time of purchase, based on the sourcing and trade conditions that existed then. The improvements that now allow us to eliminate the surcharge weren’t available at that time. We’re grateful for your continued partnership.

April 2025 Tariff Statement
At Pitsco, we’ve been committed to supporting educators like you every step of the way since our inception in 1971. That’s why I want to share an important update that will impact upcoming purchase orders and invoices.
Due to recently imposed government tariffs and changes in international trade regulations, we will be implementing a 6% tariff surcharge on each order, effective May 1, 2025.
We know that every dollar counts, and we didn’t make this decision lightly. While many of our products are proudly made in the US, some of the raw materials and components we rely on are sourced globally. As import costs have risen, this surcharge helps us maintain the quality and consistency you’ve come to expect from us.
The surcharge will appear on your invoice as part of the freight line. However, we are happy to adjust how it displays on your invoice to meet your school’s or district’s specific needs – just let us know when placing your order or submitting payment.
We’re actively exploring new sourcing options to help minimize the impact of these tariffs moving forward, and we remain focused on keeping our prices as affordable as possible.
