The CTC Go! Core Module is a modular STEAM program designed to teach Creative Technologies in the Classroom.
Arduino CTC Go! consists of a toolbox with materials to support the completion of 20 projects and easy-to-assemble experiments, an online platform, and guided training/support for educators. The program, tailored for ages 14 to 17, is composed of three different project types and introduces students to the foundations of programming and basic coding, electronics, inputs and outputs, the difference between digital and analog technologies, and serial communication.
The projects are delivered as follows:
- 8 practical lessons to introduce students to the basics of the system and tools used
- 6 guided student projects in which learners put the practical applications into use
- 6 self-directed experimental projects that encourage students to create their own open-ended solutions using the knowledge gained throughout the program
Included are the Arduino boards, shields, and building components for a class of up to 24 students. Educators also gain access to the Arduino Education Learning Management System, which contains a teacher’s guide for the entire course, lesson plans for each session, introductory webinar with an Arduino expert, training videos, troubleshooting guide, technical glossary, and evaluation sheets.
The Core Module is intended to be a jumping-off point to the CTC learning system. Expansion packs covering exciting STEAM subjects such as IoT, wireless technology, power systems, space, and robotics will be available as add-on options in the future.
