No prior coding or electronics experience required! The Arduino Education Starter Kit was developed from the ground up to give middle school students an introduction to integrated electronics, circuitry, and coding in a step-by-step manner.
With this kit, students explore current, voltage, digital logic, and programming while learning about some of the most famous inventors in the history of technology.
Each kit contains four Arduino UNO Rev 3 boards, a collection of sensors and actuators, and access to an online content platform.
The online platform contains:
- 9 step-by-step lessons, each 90 minutes in length. These lessons cover the basics of electronics (17 content hours) and include inventor spotlights and extension activities (25 content hours).
- 2 open-ended group projects where students design, build, and program a climate-control system for a greenhouse and a holiday light circuit.
- Digital engineering notebook for the students to annotate their observations and experiments in. This notebook can be printed from inside the online platform, if educators wish to do so.
Everything comes delivered in a handy storage box for future use, with all the necessary parts to assemble and conduct experiments. Each kit serves up to eight students.
