One of the most powerful flight simulators for personal computers, X-Plane 11 offers a realistic flight model that is not a game but an engineering tool that predicts the flying qualities of aircraft with incredible accuracy.
X-Plane includes 11 aircraft in the default installation, spanning the aviation industry and its history. The aircraft include 3-D cockpits and extensive documentation available to the virtual pilot, along with more than 3,000 airports with 3-D buildings, static aircraft, and dynamic environments.
Key additions to X-Plane 11include:
- A full scenery package that covers the Earth in stunning resolution.
- A redesigned user interface that allows easy editing to aircraft, airports, and weather options.
- A brand-new sound engine with 3-D surround sound and high-quality samples.
- A new rendering engine for dynamic graphic effects.
X-Plane scenery covers Earth in stunning resolution from 74° north to 60° south latitude. Choose from 3,000 airports or test your mettle on aircraft carriers, oil rigs, frigates, or helipads. Weather is variable with controllable wind, wind shear, turbulence, and microbursts. Rain, snow, and clouds are available for an instrument-flying challenge, and thermals are available for the gliders.
Includes Plane Maker, Airfoil Maker, and X-Plane simulator. For Macintosh, Windows, and Linux platforms.
