Paper cars might seem elementary, but by designing, building, and experimenting with fold-and-roll vehicles, students discover keys to momentum, velocity, design, potential energy, material costs, and more.
The Fold-N-Roll Vehicles Teacher’s Guide contains NGSS, CCSSM, NSTA, NCTM, ITEEA, and NCTE standards addressed; teacher and student instructions for a variety of math, science, and engineering activities; pretests and posttests; resource pages; and puzzles. Contains separate activities for middle school and high school students.
Equipment and materials needed to complete guide activities include the Pitsco Fold-N-Roll – Getting Started Package, mass set, timer/stopwatch, digital scale, tape measure, card stock, ruler, axles, hobby knife or scissors, computer with CAD software (optional), and standard classroom tools and materials. Note: This list is for all activities; individual activities don’t require all listed materials.
The printed version of the Fold-N-Roll Vehicles Teacher’s Guide is available for purchase, or you can download a digital copy for free here.
