Use the fuel cell car to demonstrate many principles for chemistry (photochemistry, chemical bonding), physics (circuit design, energy transfer efficiency, series and parallel connections), and environmental sciences (solar and renewable energy, carbon cycle). Takes approximately two minutes to charge and runs for eight minutes at 39 feet per minute.
Requires distilled water and a power source, sold separately. Note: The power source should be either a DC 5 V, 1A power supply or a solar panel supplying 2.0 V, 350 mA of power – the Solar Mini Panel (56852) will work, though a little slower than the suggested panel size.
