This pack contains a line-tracker module that transmits a digital signal to the TETRIX® PRIZM™ Robotics Controller, enabling a robot to follow a black line on a white background or vice versa. The sensor consists of two parts: an IR-emitting LED and an IR-sensitive phototransistor. Comes with a mount, connecting sensor cable, and the hardware needed for attaching the sensor to the TETRIX hole pattern.


Afinia Premium ABS Filament is designed to the extruding specification of the H-Series 3-D printer. The supports and raft break easily away from your model, leaving a fine finish while keeping high-dimensional tolerances. This filament works with the H-Series and other legacy Afinia printers. Includes two 500 g rolls.

Afinia Premium PLA Filament has been designed specifically for the H-Series 3-D printer, with the most important feature being the 200°-210°C extrusion temperature.

Third party-manufactured PLA filaments do not print consistently and have issues with brittleness, nozzle clogging, and bridging or spider webbing that can leave users disappointed with the results. Afinia Premium PLA Filament has been engineered to mitigate these common issues and give a great printing experience. Some of the advantages include:

  • No preheating of the platform required. The H-Series platform quickly heats to a low 50°C, which is the platform temperature for printing PLA.
  • Reduced warping, lifting, or curling of models. Afinia’s Premium PLA Filament has a reduced thermal expansion coefficient from ABS, which means the PLA layers are less likely to shrink after printing.
  • Less odor. Compared to ABS, Afinia’s PLA has reduced odor and a pleasant, sweet smell like pancakes.


The TETRIX® PRIZM™ Robotics Controller is a fully integrated, programmable brain for your bot that features a variety of motor, servo, encoder, and sensor ports with convenient connectors that enable you to control your robot's behavior like never before. This controller offers the best of both worlds – a learning tool that is powerful yet easy to use. With PRIZM you can take learning to new heights by creating robots that are smarter, more precise, and as real world as it gets.

The controller is specifically developed for use with the TETRIX MAX building system and comes with programming support for the Arduino Software (IDE), which is compatible with Windows, Mac OS X 10.7 or newer, and Linux devices that have a USB port.

The PRIZM Robotics Controller features:

  • 32 KB flash programmable memory
  • ATmega328P processor with Arduino Optiboot bootloader installed
  • 4 digital sensor ports (D2 can be used as a serial port) and 3 analog sensor ports

Buying a new gamepad system when only the receiver is lost or damaged is wasteful and expensive. We’ve solved that problem by offering this replacement 2.4 GHz receiver that comes with built-in mounting tabs that align with the TETRIX® hole pattern.

This pack contains a noncontact distance measurement module that works at 42 kHz to transmit a digital signal to the TETRIX® PRIZM™ Robotics Controller. The module detects the range of an object within 3 to 400 cm, enabling your robot to sense its surroundings. Comes with a mount, connecting sensor cable, and the hardware for attaching the sensor to the TETRIX hole pattern.

It’s time to test your structures with the EZ Shake Table! Students build structures, place them on the table, and use a crank to do the shaking themselves. It’s a fun way to learn physical science, Earth science, building geometry, and many other concepts while also having fun shaking the structures.


Safe and simple to use like the Structure Tester, the Structures Testing Instrument offers more testing options and a streamlined design.

Using a turn-force wheel, students can apply up to 800 pounds of force to structures including balsa wood or basswood towers and bridges. Unlike previous structure testers, however, they can apply pressure in small increments and stop applying pressure at the first sign of structural damage – so they don’t have to destroy the structure to test it to the limit. And because the system captures both the peak load and the current load, the load that “breaks” the structure is displayed. Because the load reading is given at every change, students can follow a precise pattern to ensure consistent testing in a classroom setting.

Included software graphs the force versus time per structure. Save or print the data to analyze it later. The tester connects to a Windows computer via a USB cable, which is included. This software also enables teachers to connect the computer to a projector to display testing data in the classroom.
