Reinforce STEM and phonics with elementary students in the classroom, in the gym, or on the playground. This package gets students out of their seats and on their feet and optimizes the mind-body learning experience.

Through the Animals in Motion theme, movement and music can act as mnemonic devices to help students retain information while they are active and staying fit. From Alex the Alligator to Zane the Zebra, students will have fun while working through the flash cards, DVD, challenges, and activities.

Features student and teacher flash cards focusing on science, math, sign language, phonics, and blends. Teacher flash cards are an 11" x 17" format – easily visible by students – while student flash cards can be used in teams or in centers. The teacher flash cards are held by a wire rack that can be set on a desk or countertop, enabling easy flipping. The rack also helps to store the teacher flash cards and other program components.

The colorful STEM in Motion with Phonics Workbook provides letter-by-letter connections to writing, math, language arts, reading, science, and social studies. Additionally, the teacher’s guide provides ideas for both classroom and physical education implementation, including activities such as Animal Alphabetize, Volleying Vowels, Animal Classification, and many more.

The STEM in Motion with Phonics video provides a visual guide to the exercises and sign language option. You can choose a specific letter so students can learn and practice that exercise. When students know all the letter exercises, the complete workout option can be used, providing visual cues for the students as well as 60-beats-per-minute music. A STEM in Motion with Phonics CD provides the opportunity to play the same workout music from an ordinary CD player in the gym environment. Includes correlations for American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance; Common Core Math and English; and Next Generation Science Standards.

The package includes:

  • Comprehensive teacher’s guide
  • STEM in Motion with Phonics Workbook
  • Flash cards (1 teacher set + 6* student sets of each): Phonics Blends, Sign Language, Animal Alphabet, Animal Science, Animal Math, and Math Skip-Counting
  • One STEM in Motion with Phonics video
  • One STEM in Motion with Phonics CD
  • One storage/display stand

* Teams of students defined by teacher (typically teams of four)
