Pitsco Education Sponsors MATHCOUNTS Program

Pitsco Education will be a national sponsor for the MATHCOUNTS Club Program in the 2010 program year. The Club Program is a math enrichment initiative providing the structure and activities needed to encourage the formation of math clubs within schools. According to MATHCOUNTS, upon request, middle schools receive free problem sets and group activities to foster a social atmosphere as the students work together to earn recognition and rewards.

Pitsco Education is providing in-kind donations of hands-on activities in support of the MATHCOUNTS Club Program.

“Pitsco Education is proud to be involved with MATHCOUNTS’ efforts to show students that hands-on applications of math can be fun and educational at the same time,” said Pitsco Education President Lisa Paterni. “Putting math in an age-appropriate, real-world context is key to capturing the attention of middle school students.”
