Call Center – LEGO Technical Support Representative

SUMMARY: The LEGO Technical Support Representative provides technical support, answers questions, and provides product information to any existing or potential customer. This is accomplished by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Providing tech support (hardware and software) for the LEGO® Education product line
  • Providing tech support (hardware and software) for the LEGO MINDSTORMS® retail product line
  • Providing general and technical product information to existing or potential customers
  • Analyzing technical information received from the customer and communicating effective solutions for their product issues
  • Interacting with R&D, marketing, and management for input and solutions to product issues
  • Being responsible for preparing various reports as requested by the Call Center supervisor
  • Continually updating personal technical knowledge of supported product lines
  • Representing LEGO Education at conventions or training workshops as requested

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school education required with a technical background preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficient computer skills in both Windows and Macintosh environments
  • Ability to handle phone calls in a polite and professional manner
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work closely with other people
  • Conscientious, detail-oriented worker who is self-motivated
  • General office environment
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time
  • Good sight, hearing, speech, and dexterity/mobility in hands and fingers (data entry) required
